We are happy to share the May edition of the Mozambique Off-grid Knowledge Hub News!

The Mozambique Off-grid Knowledge Hub offers a wealth of information on the energy situation, RE potential, policy and regulatory framework as well as on actors involved in the Mozambican energy sector.

You can also browse through sub-hubs on solar energy, cooking energy and productive use of energy (focused on solar powered irrigation systems) to understand the market landscape and the opportunities/challenges for private sector engagement in each technology markets. A sub-hub on nano and mini-grids will be available soon.

Call for Solar Home System Case Studies

Do you run a project or company focused on solar home systems (SHS) in Mozambique? We would like to feature your case study on energypedia's Mozambique Off-Grid Knowledge Hub! By sharing technological aspects, approaches and results of your activities, you contribute to more learning opportunities in the sector. In return, you will receive recognition and we will also support you in promoting your case study via the hub, social media, and webinars.

Writing contest

Energypedia and AMER officially launched the writing contest entitled: ''Energy Minds: Writing Content in Renewable Energy'. This competition is aimed at all Mozambican students who are attending at least one renewable energy-related course and will run from 10 to 31 May. Winners will be announced in June. Case Studies on Improved Cooking Energy

Happy to share another new and very interesting case study on improved cookstoves and cooking energy in Mozambique! A huge thank you to Pamoja Mocambique for giving insights into their products, approaches, impacts, challenges, and for sharing their recommendations. You can read this case study as well as the ones from Mozambique Carbon Initiatives, Kulima, and Carbonsink in either English or Portuguese on the Clean Cooking Solutions Hub. We are sure, these case studies will be of help for other cookstove companies and projects and enhance the knowledge of the sector!
