Description
At the 27th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), held in November 2022, agriculture and food security challenges associated with the impacts of climate change were considered a high priority, particularly for Small Island Developing States (SIDS). This is evident in the Sharm el-Sheikh joint work on implementing climate action on agriculture and food security, the adoption of a breakthrough agreement on funding arrangements for responding to loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change, and the launch of several initiatives concerning agrifood systems. Join us online to participate in a dialogue on the outcomes of COP27 and its implications for SIDS. A detailed list of speakers will follow in the upcoming days.
