You will support the project team in organizing and planning of events and facilitating the project’s communication process. Depending on your interests and previous knowledge, your range of tasks may include the following:
- Support the team in organizing the global ESDS project planning workshop - Organize, realize and do follow-up work of a series of webinars on innovation topics in sustainable energy supply, policy creation, and other cross-cutting themes - Facilitate the development and sharing of different knowledge products and create articles for publication on the GIZ website, project portal, and newsletters - Provide and work on ideas to shape ESDS’s Global Communication Strategy - Support the project’s M&E process and drafting of progress reports, concept notes, and Terms of Reference (ToR) documents - Contribute to online research relevant to energy supply in refugee camps and overall project implementation - Support the team in data management, and drafting meeting notes and presentations
Your Profile: - You are studying in the third semester or higher, have completed your bachelor's degree and / or are studying for a master’s degree in the field of media and communication studies, journalism, public relations, design, politics, management, or any other relevant study area. Students/graduates with background in environment and energy with strong experience in communication and management topics are also encouraged to apply (graduation not longer than 6 months before the beginning of internships) - You have already gained some practical experience organizing and realizing webinars and in writing public texts - Additional knowledge or experience in the field of renewable energy and international development will be an advantage. Experience abroad in Sub-Saharan Africa is an advantage - You have sound knowledge of the common MS office applications - For the internship, very good English skills (language level C1) are a necessary requirement for internal and external communication. Good German skills (language level B2) is an advantage - You enjoy communicating with project internal and external partners, work independently, have a structured working style and always maintain an overview and sense of priorities even in hectic situations.
