Overview

IDEA "Institutional Development for Energy in Afghanistan" works with the MEW to support and strengthen the implementation of policies and strategies in the energy sector (Component A), to foster and develop the inter-institutional cooperation mechanisms on national as well as provincial level (Component B), to amplify the knowledge about renewable energies and energy efficiency plus contribute to vocational training for operation and management of power schemes (Component C) and to enable private investment into the afghan energy sector (Component D). The IDEA programme is the successor of the ESRA programme “Energy Supply for Rural Areas”.
